FUTECH OTTAWA INC.

For over 15 years, the Ottawa East branch has provided building owners and operators, industrial and institutional users, electrical contractors and HVAC controls specialists, panel builders, machine fabricators along with automation integrators, working in various industrial sectors, with a wide variety of products and services.

Located in Ottawa and Nepean, the 2 branches are responsible for sales in Eastern Ontario and service the greater Ottawa area, up to Hawkesbury, Cornwall, including the St-Lawrence seaway and the Ottawa Valley. We champion ABB, GE and Marathon branded products, known and commercialized as Baldor, Reliance, Jokab, Multilin, Benshaw and TTI. We also promote quality products like Aventics, Balluff, Carlo Gavazzi, EXM, Hammond Power Magnetics, Mersen, Plad Pumps, Weg and Weidmuller. Our staff members are trained by our suppliers. They have accumulated years of experience in assisting clients in selecting, procuring and applying products, making sure that what we sell meets your many needs.

OUR CAPACITIES

We rely on a modern ERP system to provide us with real-time inventory data, order status updates, and a flexible order processing system. This allows us to provide a reliable supply and gives us access to inventory kept in other Futech branches, allowing us to ship available product from any one of our companies. We keep stock locally on of power distribution equipment, power transformers, power protection, wiring device, electric heating equipment, lamps and lighting products, electrical motors fractional to large HP, electric motor control devices, variable speed drives, detection sensors, machine safety products, electrical enclosures and cabinets. Our project team works plans and specs, prepares it’s own take-off and quotation package at the request of industrial, commercial, and institutional building electrical contractors. We work with quality vendors to secure your project.

SERVICES AND COMPETENCES

With a new 20 000 sq.ft. facility, our East branch offers a full range of electric motor and pump repair/rebuild services. Equipped with the necessary tools and test equipment, we can retrofit, rework, rebuild and balance small to large rotating equipment. We can work on AC motors up to 700HP and DC motors up to 500HP. We can build special control or power assemblies and provide support drawings and documentation.
The Futech Ottawa West branch carries an inventory of electrical control and construction essentials. It’s a great place to drop your motor to be rewound or your pump to be rebuilt.

Our factory trained personnel will assist you with start-up of soft starts, variable speed drives, transfer switches and other types of field work necessary to conduct your operations. We offer a full commissioning service on ABB drives, Benshaw soft starts and MCC’s, along with TTI Transfer switches and Multilin protection relays. We cover every aspect of the sale process, from product selection to integration, training and troubleshooting. Using our supplier’s knowledge and webtools, we can design and quote from lighting and lamp retrofit proposals, to custom metallic enclosures, answering the specific needs of your application.
